Canada's Wonderland Update

Posted On: Wednesday, May 13, 2020

As the coronavirus (COVID-19) matter remains a part of our daily lives, the team at Canada’s Wonderland continues to work with health and safety experts as we plan for increased safety measures and operational changes throughout our park. We are in constant communication with our provincial and federal governments and are looking forward to welcoming you back just as soon as it is safe to do so.

Canada's Wonderland Update

Although our reopen date is still uncertain, we’re pleased to share that construction on our new attractions, Mountain Bay Cliffs and Beagle Brigade Airfield, is set to resume shortly and should be complete within a month’s time.

We can’t wait to welcome you back to the park. Until then, enjoy some virtual Canada’s Wonderland experiences, like a ride on one of our roller coasters, or make our classic funnel cake at home. We also have educational and creative activities online for kids of all ages.

As previously announced, we have extended the validity of all 2020 Season Passes and Season Pass Add-On Products through the 2021 season, plus we have paused Easy Pay billing while the park is closed*. Likewise, we will continue to work with guests who may have prepaid single-day tickets valid for days during our temporary park closure. Ticket inquiries may be directed to

The safety of our guests and associates has always been and will always be our top priority. We want to assure you that when we do open, Canada’s Wonderland will continue to be a safe and fun environment for all. Our team is 100% committed to this promise. And we are working alongside industry experts and government officials toward this shared goal. We will keep you updated as we move forward; in the meantime, we thank you for your loyalty and continued support.

*2020 Season Passes and purchased 2020 Season Pass add-on products (if applicable) will be valid through the 2021 Season according to pass type. For 2020 Season Passholders participating in our Easy Pay Program, monthly billing has been suspended, and will remain suspended while the park is closed.  When the park reopens, billing will resume.  Passholders will need to be current on payments to receive both 2020 and 2021 Season Pass admission and associated benefits.

If you’re at home and looking for something exciting to do, we thought we’d offer up the rides at Canada’s Wonderland and bring the amusement park to you!

You can take a virtual ride on 16 coasters, 11 thrill rides and seven family rides with our first-person ‘point-of-view’ (POV) videos on Youtube. The kids will love that they can experience some of the grown-up rides virtually, even though they may not, technically, be tall enough to ride in person. Or maybe you can convince your non-ride-loving significant other to give it a try!

Here’s how to set up your virtual ride:

  1. Open up your web browser to head to Youtube or open the Youtube app on your TV.
  2. Place a couple of chairs in front (two by two works best) and have a seat! Some parents with little kids use laundry baskets. Please exercise caution if you're holding it.
  3. Go to the Canada’s Wonderland channel (find this through the search function)
  4. Go to our ‘Playlists’ and choose either Roller Coaster POVsThrill Ride POVs or Family Ride POVs
  5. Choose your ride, and hit play!
  6. If you have a VR headset, load the video up on your phone or gaming system to enjoy an even more immersive ride experience!
