Shannon Fry has gone the electric route for her new delivery vehicle, a Hyundai Ionic that now sports the signage of the Pharmacy as it purrs around town. As well as the all-electric car Shannon has installed a Chargepoint electric charging station at the Pharmacy (facing Highway 26) that any electric car can use – for a charge of $2.00 per hour.
It all makes total sense as a delivery vehicle since most of the deliveries are well within the range of this vehicle. At full charge the car can do 214 kms before a refill or should I say a charge up? So if you need to see what the future looks like, check it out the next time you are at the Pharmacy or watch for it in your neighbourhood between nine and five every weekday as it does the delivery rounds. Be careful though, it is so quiet that it can sneak up on you.
