Grey County Seeking Advisory Committee Volunteers

Grey County is looking for dedicated volunteers for three advisory committees for the 2019-2022 term of council. Each committee meets approximately four times per year and mileage or travel expenses are compensated. Applications accepted until November 30th.

Grey County Seeking Advisory Committee Volunteers

Joint Municipal Accessibility Advisory Committee (AAC)

The AAC advises Grey County Council and participating local municipalities about provincial accessibility laws and ways to identify, prevent and remove barriers from municipal services, processes and spaces. By law, the majority of committee members must be people living with disabilities.

Tourism Advisory Committee

The Tourism Advisory Committee makes recommendations to Grey County Council about ways to improve local tourism for businesses and visitors.  Grey County is seeking five dedicated members of the tourism industry to represent a cross-section of interest.

Economic Development and Planning Advisory Committee

The Economic Development Advisory Committee advises council about expanding the prosperity base in Grey County and helps to implement the “Made in Grey” Economic Development Strategy. Grey County is seeking up to seven public members to represent a variety of sectors.
