As Blue Mountain prepares for an exciting summer, the four-season Resort is hosting its fourth Community Day on Sunday, June 9th. Local residents can enjoy free access to Blue Mountain’s summer attractions for the entire day.
“Community Day is a great way for us to express our thanks to our employees, their families and friends as well as the people in this region who help make Blue Mountain a great place to be,” says Jackie Paduano, Manager of Public Relations for Blue Mountain. “Visitors are also welcome to join in the fun on Community Day. For every base camp ticket that a visitor purchases, we will donate an equal amount of tickets to Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Georgian Triangle.”
Local residents must bring proof of a mailing address that falls within an approximately 60 km radius of Blue Mountain Resort in order to receive a Community Day wrist band. The wrist band is valid for free access to all Blue Mountain’s summer attractions, including the Ridge Runner Mountain Coaster, Timber Challenge, Wind Rider Triple Zips, Plunge! Aquatic Centre, Open-Air Gondola and the newly opened Chutes and Lumber Ball Run. The Mountain Bike park will be accessible for a discounted rate. Segway Tours are available for free, but participants must book a tour in advance with Guest Services.
Community Day will feature live music and entertainment, at the Coca Cola stage and at the top of the mountain. Free activities and games will take place in the Village.
Visitors can also celebrate the opening of Blue Mountain’s newest retail shop – Blue Mountain Supply Company. The shop will be hosting a day of family fun for its grand opening with prize giveaways, including a new outfit and base camp attractions tickets.
Community Day is a rain or shine event, however operation of outdoor attractions is subject to weather conditions.
