For 101 weeks the Craigleith Heritage Depot will post historical stories of the little Craigleith Station. From its inception in the late 1880s to its transformation into a museum, archive, and library. Through photographs, letters, journals, newspaper articles, and paintings join us in discovering how the small train station has changed over the decades to what it is today. A five week meditation course at the Library, free of charge.
Week 1: Introduction to meditation and the benefits~decreased anxiety and stress, increased focus, strengthened memory and feelings of confidence and joy.
Week 2: Exploring various meditation techniques
Week 3: Creating an at home practice
Week 4: More techniques to increase resilience, patience and kindness
Week 5: Long, deep guided meditation.
No experience or equipment needed.
We will begin by meditating seated on chairs, and offer option to move to cushions as we progress. Students choice.
