Town Hall Reopening on February 22

Posted On: Monday, February 22, 2021

The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise the public that starting on Monday, February 22, Town Hall will be open for public access with regular business hours and safety measures in place.

Town Hall Reopening on February 22

All Council, Committee of the Whole and Committee meetings will continue to be hosted virtually until further notice. In person meetings will resume when it is safe to do so.

To promote safety for both the public and staff, physical distancing floor stickers and directional signage have been installed to guide visitors. If you plan on visiting Town Hall, please continue to maintain six feet of physical distancing while on-site and wear a facemask to help ensure the safety of others.

To help limit traffic into Town Hall, residents are reminded that online and telephone services will continue to be available. Details regarding online services can be found on the Town website by visiting: www.thebluemountains.ca/online-services.cfm

Where there is a need for an in-person meeting or for in-depth service needs, such as planning services, building services, applying for a marriage licence and the commissioning of documents, a scheduled appointment will be required as drop-in service will not be available. Scheduled appointments will be conducted virtually. To schedule an appointment, please call Town Hall at 519-599-3131 or visit the Staff Directory on the Town website to find the appropriate contact information: www.thebluemountains.ca/staff-directory.cfm

The Blue Mountains Public Library locations of the LE Shore Branch and the Craigleith Heritage Depot will be remaining on curbside pick-up and virtual services and programs at this time. BMPL will be re-evaluating the situation in early March, identifying how the end of lockdown has impacted the Town, GBHU and regional numbers. BMPL places the community and staff’s health at the forefront of all business models. All announcements will continue to be released through the Service Updates & COVID-19 page of the BMPL website.
