Municipal Election Voter Participation Rate as of October 19

The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise the public that as of Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at 3:45 p.m., the voter participation rate is 9.75%.

This rate is calculated by dividing the total number of ballots cast by the total number of registered voters at that time.

Election Dates

Advance voting will remain open until the close of voting on Monday, October 24, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. 

Voting Methods

The Town is utilizing both internet and telephone voting in the 2022 Election. Mail-in and paper ballots will not be used.

Instructional videos have been created to assist with the voting process:

Voter Information Letters regarding voting methods have been mailed to electors. Your Voter Information Letter provides information on how to access the voting systems and your unique PIN. Voters can also bring their Voter Information Letter to Town Hall for assistance in the voting process. If you have not received your Voter Information Letter, please contact the Clerk's Office.

Help Centre

During the Voting Period (October 14 to October 24), a Help Centre will be available at Town Hall during normal business hours and during the extended hours listed below. If you require assistance to vote or need to be added to the voter's list, please visit the Help Centre. For more information on the Help Centre, please visit the Town's Elections page. .

  • Thursday, October 20 - 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • Friday, October 21 - 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, October 22 - 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Monday, October 24 - 9:00 a.m. until the close of voting at 8:00 p.m.

The Review is a weekly on-line newsletter published on Tuesdays (4x a month), available by email to those who subscribe using the form on the home page.

For those who would like a printed copy delivered by Canada Post the subscription fee is $50 for 25 issues.

The first week of each month the print version of the Review is mailed to approx 5000 residents in The Blue Mountains.

The deadline for articles and/or advertising is the Friday before each publication.
