Individual hikers, corporate teams, service clubs or corporate sponsors commit themselves to raising money that will benefit our local residential hospice of Grey and Bruce, Chapman House, Owen Sound which opened June 2017.
Over the last 5 years Hospice has offered expert end of life care to over 400 patients and their families from Grey-Bruce.
In Ontario, residential hospice ministry funding only covers the costs associated with the salaries for nursing and personal support workers at the bedside.
All other aspects hospice such as medical equipment, patient meals and other comforts are supported by the community.
There is no cost to those who come to us and entrust us with their care. The Thornbury-Clarksburg Walk will begin at the Town Hall, Sunday, May 6th at 1pm, along Bruce Street to Clarksburg and return to finish with Pizza on the Patio at 15 Harbour Street.
