Notice- Voting Period Extended Due to Technical Issues

See ya tomorrow - deja vu all over again!

Under the Municipal Elections Act, the Town Clerk, Corrina Giles, has declared an emergency as circumstances have arisen that are likely to prevent the election being conducted in accordance with the Act at this time. The voting period has been extended to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, October 23rd, 2018.

Updates and additional information will be posted to the Town website when available.

Several municipalities in Ontario are extending online and in-person voting times after problems with their online voting systems.

The glitch affected several municipalities that use the Dominion Voting System, which struggled to process the traffic on its website.

The voting period in Owen Sound, Georgian Bluffs, Meaford, Blue Mountains, Grey Highlands, West Grey, Southgate, Hanover, Saugeen Shores, Northern Bruce Peninsula, Brockton, South Bruce, Huron-Kinloss and Kincardine is now slated to close at 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Those 14 Grey-Bruce municipalities are using only telephone and Internet voting for this municipal election.
