Grey Bruce Public Health has received laboratory confirmation of a case of measles in an unvaccinated child in Grey-Bruce. GBPH confirms the patient and other members of their household are isolating at home. A contact-tracing investigation by GBPH has not identified any public places in Grey-Bruce where community members could have been exposed to the virus or any exposure risks in local schools linked to this case.
Students looking to operate a business this summer can now apply to the 2025 Summer Company program. Summer Company offers students 15-29 years of age an opportunity to start and manage their own business. Successful applicants will receive a grant of up to $3,000 and access to training and mentorship from local business leaders. Applications to the program will be accepted until May 31, 2025.
